Use Gmail Tabs to stay up-to-date with Freelancer news

Do you have a Gmail account?

Do you have a huge ‘Fear of Missing Out’?

You may have noticed a few changes to your inbox lately, or if you haven’t, listen up as you may be missing out on some very important information.

Gmail recently introduced a new feature called “Tabs” to your inbox. The aim of Tabs is to make your inbox easier to manage and organise by letting the tabs automatically filter your incoming mail. For those of us with hundreds of emails flooding into our already full inbox this feature can be beneficial however it also means that you might not come across some critical information from companies, like Freelancer, that you rely upon to do your business.

Tabs will automatically sort commercial e-mails into a separate “promotions” tab without recognising that the content in the email is important. But, don’t despair! There is something that you can do to make sure that you remain up-to-date with all of your Freelancer news. Simply follow the steps outlined below;

There are two options available to place Freelancer emails, that have accidentally landed in the Promotions tab, into the Primary Tab.

Firstly, when you are in the promotions tab you can drag and drop the Freelancer email by left clicking the email and dragging it from the Promotions Tab to the Primary Tab.

Secondly, you can right click the email, bringing up a small list that includes “move to,” hover over this and select the Primary Tab when it appears.

Once you have moved an email to the Primary folder Gmail will ask you if you want to make this change permanent. Click yes and all Freelancer emails will automatically appear in your primary tab from now on.

So simple and now you won’t miss out on any of our important updates!
